The following plugins can improve productivity on and offsite from keeping your content consistent to optimizing your social sharing and even integrating other marketing tools and strategies you’re already using.
1. WP Editorial Calendar
You’ve set your goals for 2014 and added objectives and tasks to your calendar. Nice work! Now let’s take your blog content plan for this year and set up a calendar within your WordPress admin to keep your blogging consistent.
2. Events Calendar Pro
For people who kick ass, this plugin gives you the ability to easily set up and manage an events calendar on your site. This is a great option for a broker trying to recruit new agents by inviting them to training classes and other fun social events.
3. JetPack
Make it easy for potential clients to connect with you on other social channels you use regularly and provide share controls to easily promote your site’s features, listings and valuable content. Jetpack gives you the ability to add social icons, share controls, recent tweet widget, hovercard popups, mobile push notifications, etc.
4. Yoast SEO
We know content is king, so make the most of what you post to your site with the most comprehensive all-in-one SEO plugin that adds features such as a snippet preview and a page analysis to help you optimize titles, keywords, descriptions, etc. I can’t live without this plugin because it makes sure that my blog posts are formatted and optimized in social networks like Facebook and Linkedin, as well as for search engines.
5. RealSatisfied Widget
Do you send surveys and ask for testimonials from past clients? You should, because it not only shows your clients you care, but also gives you the opportunity for others to sing your praises. RealSatisfied offers free profiles for agents and a brand management program for brokers who care about improving their services and showcasing their expertise through the use of client surveys and recommendations. You can easily syndicate testimonials to your WordPress site with the RealSatisfied widget.
6. Organize Series
The best way to make the most of a great blog topic on your site is to create a series for it by writing short posts. If you do this, be sure readers of your blog can easily access all posts in a series by using the Organize Series Plugin. This is not only a great option for written posts, but also if you create videos for listings or answering client FAQs.
7. Genesis Agent Profiles

Personally, I favor using a host who specializes in WordPress to manage and protect my site. But if you haven’t migrated to a host like WPEngine, I suggest using Backup Buddy to routinely backup your site and auto-sync to Dropbox.
9. Gravity Forms
If you have one or more smart calls to action on your site, the Gravity Forms premium plugin can help. Easily create lead generation forms to collect contact info from a newsletter sign-up, market report or CMA inquiry, or relocation guide download. I love this plugin as once you set up your form you can simply past the shortcode into any post or page.
10. Google Analytics
Set up your Google account and download this plugin to better measure and monitor your site. You should track which blog posts get the most traffic, and then write more like that. You can also learn who your audience is, where they are coming from, and how they are finding you….and more useful information!
